I am not sure how some people would go
about measuring success, as the usual indicators are peer recognition.
Although this is important, I look at a broader measure, with the help
of performance measurement indicators that have been established during
the planning phase as each New Year begins.
By clarifying my goals and outlining my strategies, for
example, if I am trying to promote something, one strategy I might have
is to get influencers talking about it, though if I am marketing a new
product, my strategy may be to educate people about why they need it,
and what other competitive products or service it will be replacing.
By determining my tactics and planning my execution, by the end of each
year I am able to measure my results on the goals I had previously set.
It takes planning, hard work and a results-oriented focus to work. It
doesn't happen overnight, but rather, it builds momentum over time.
