Tell me about a time when you were forced to make an un cool decision
Having responsibility for weekly feedback to management, including client satisfaction issues, key dependencies and project variances, it came as an initial shock when I discovered that one of our clients was in advanced negotiations for potential takeover.
I then undertook the task of supplying briefing notes and prepared a presentation for senior directors to discuss how best to move forward, and my decision was to suspend and ultimately terminate our agreement with this company, as in the eventuality of a takeover, our forecasted profit, would be severely impacted.
This decision did not meet with much approval initially but after many discussions, proved to be the determining factor, in moving forward with other, more transparent clients.
