I once attempted at staring my own business,
I needed a certain amount of capital available for office equipment,
advertising and marketing materials, etc.
I did not have the funds available to sustain and grow my new venture.
I was fortunate that the business didn't cost me very much to operate.
Though I should have made sure that I had enough money on hand to operate
my business and let the world know that I existed.
Initially my new business started off part-time, working from home,
after my work day, I unfortunately didn't have the foresight to view
my new venture as a real business.
Spending Monday to Friday, 1-2 hours each night, rather than spending
10-15 hours per week to get things going in the right direction, was
something I hadn't truly focused on.
Inconsistency in the end was the main factor. I wasn't consistent on
my home business work schedule, therefore I didnt see progress on a
week to week basis due to hardly any time, business building activities
and not organizing your desk.
I did not have a system in place initially. So, this next time round
I am more creative, I created guidelines and followed a system that
has worked for successful people that have preceded me, and I continue
to try my hardest to make a success 2nd time around.
