Kitchen Supervisor Personal Statement
For many years I have worked as a kitchen porter,
originally starting off as a dishwasher before being given a promotion. The
food and cooking industry is a huge passion of mine and this is what drew me
to it in the first place. Over the years I have worked in many busy kitchens
where it was high pressured and there was an expectation to deliver.
I always enjoyed working to certain standards and working within a team to achieve
the end goal. As a kitchen porter I organised deliveries, handled orders and
costs and often helped out with work rotas. I always motivated my team and found
that I often become a leader, encouraging colleagues to work hard.
I am a calm individual with the ability to see situations before they occur,
this enables me to plan ahead and cope with a busy environment efficiently and
effectively. I believe that I have worked hard to put myself in the position
of becoming a kitchen Supervisor and I know that I can really make a difference.
